Dr. Stevenson brings years of treating sleep problems to our sleep disorder clinic. He completed an accredited sleep medicine fellowship in 2006 and subsequently joined the medical staff at Star Sleep & Wellness. An Arizona native, Dr. Stevenson attended medical school at the Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine. He relocated to the Dallas area, completing both his residency and fellowship training at Parkland Hospital and the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. Dr. Stevenson has expertise in the full range of sleep disorders and is board certified in sleep medicine by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
Dr. Stevenson is an assistant clinical professor at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, maintaining interest in clinical research activities and the training of physicians in the area of sleep medicine. Dr. Stevenson is the former Medical Director of the research department at Green Oaks Hospital in Dallas and McKinney, Texas. Prior research experiences have yielded publications in the area of metabolism, and he maintains a substantial interest in the interaction of sleep physiology and metabolic disorders.
Dr. Stevenson holds memberships in various professional organizations, including the American Academy of Sleep Medicine, the Texas Osteopathic Medical Association, the Texas Medical Association, and the Collin-Fannin County Medical Society.
